Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kindergarten Paraprofessional to support our classroom environment and assist our students in achieving their educational goals. The ideal candidate will work closely with the lead teacher to provide individualized attention to students, foster a positive learning atmosphere, and contribute to the overall success of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the kindergarten teacher with classroom management and instructional activities. 
  • Provide support to students in small groups and one-on-one settings to reinforce learning concepts. 
  • Help prepare instructional materials and resources for lessons. 
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the teacher on individual student needs and challenges. 
  • Assist students with assignments, projects, and other academic activities, ensuring understanding of tasks. 
  • Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional periods to ensure safety and engagement. 
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners. 
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. 
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as grading and organizing student work.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred). 
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff. 
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the educational development of kindergarteners.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and effective instructional strategies. 
  • Familiarity with classroom technology and educational software is a plus.
