Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in providing support to students, helping to create a positive and productive learning environment. This role is essential in fostering academic growth and ensuring that all students have the resources they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in planning and implementing instructional activities.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in various subjects.
Help with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and participation.
Assist with preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
Supervise students during non-instructional times (e.g., recess, lunch).
Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
