Old Redford Academy is hiring a Head Coach for the Fall 2026 Junior Varsity (JV) Football team!

Position Overview
Join our dynamic athletics department as the Head Coach for the Fall 2026 Junior Varsity (JV) Football team. We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to lead, inspire, and develop student-athletes in their football journey while promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of the JV football team, including planning, organizing, and executing effective practice sessions and developing game strategies in alignment with the varsity program.
- Coaching & Training: Provide high-quality coaching to develop the skills, sportsmanship, and athletic performance of all team members. Utilize appropriate techniques to enhance individual and team growth.
- Mentorship: Act as a role model and mentor to student-athletes, promoting values of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and respect both on and off the field.
- Game Preparation: Prepare the team for competitive play, including organizing logistics for games, and ensuring all players are equipped and ready.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the varsity head coach, assistant coaches, athletic director, and other staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to the football program.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes by adhering to school policies, league regulations, and sports safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching football at the high school level or equivalent, with a strong understanding of the game.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate and build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Proven track record of enhancing athletic performance and creating a positive team environment.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Concussion Management (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse team culture.
