Old Redford Academy is hiring an Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2026 season!

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach to join our coaching staff. The successful candidate will support the head coach in developing game strategies, conducting practices, and enhancing the overall performance and experience of our varsity volleyball team.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the head varsity coach to create and implement effective practice plans and game strategies.

- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to athletes to help improve their skills and techniques.

- Assist in organizing and conducting practice sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all players.

- Travel with the team to games and tournaments, providing support and motivation for players.

- Help in maintaining equipment and inventory, ensuring readiness for practices and games.

- Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and the overall well-being of student-athletes.

- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining attendance records and coordinating with school staff and parents.

Qualifications

- Previous experience coaching volleyball at the high school level or higher is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team.

- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
