HR Leave Specialist

CS Partners, located in Brighton, MI, is currently looking for a detail-oriented and dependable HR Leave Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all employee leaves of absence and workers’ compensation claims. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our processes are compliant, timely, and supportive of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding FMLA, ADA, STD, and PWFA

  • Manage leave of absence documentation, tracking, and communications from start to return-to-work

  • Engage in the interactive process with employees and facilitate conversations with HR Managers and Supervisors

  • Process and monitor workers’ compensation claims in coordination with third-party administrators (TPAs) and broker

  • Assist in investigating workplace injuries and ensuring timely filing

  • Complete and file all required reporting

  • Communicate with employees regarding rights, responsibilities, and timelines under applicable leave and injury laws

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies related to leave and injury management

  • Maintain accurate records and case documentation in HR systems

  • Update and maintain absence management system for leave of absences and annual paid time off balance uploads

  • Provide regular status updates to HR leadership and partner departments

  • Other duties as assigned be HR Compliance Manager

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or leave/workers’ comp coordination preferred

  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation laws, and basic employment preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deadlines
