Detroit Community Schools is hiring a School Leader for K-8.  Position is immediate!

We are hiring an experienced and motivated School Principal to help lead our district forward. The academy is a tuition-free, Pre-K to 12th-grade academy located in Detroit that offers highly qualified teachers, free transportation, one-to-one student technology, an expansive athletic program, and a rigorous curriculum that is both standards-based and culturally responsive.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Master's degree in administration, supervision, curriculum, or related areas.

● Meet the State school administrator’s certification or continuing education requirement.

● Three years of successful teaching experience or related experience with students. 

● Demonstrate advanced organizational and communication skills with students, parents, and staff. 

Demonstrate successful school turnaround competency and experience

● Possess a positive work history.

● Possess a solutions-oriented and innovative attitude.

● Able to manage multiple, complex projects at one time.

● Demonstrated success with meeting school enrollment targets.
