Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate GSRP Caregiver to support our early childhood education initiatives. As a GSRP Caregiver, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and educating children in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to fostering a love for learning and working collaboratively with teachers, families, and the community to promote children's growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
Assist in the implementation of the GSRP curriculum by creating and maintaining a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.
Engage children in a variety of educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging exploration, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Support children’s needs by providing individualized attention and care based on their unique strengths and challenges.
Observe and assess children’s development and learning, documenting progress and communicating findings to teachers and parents.
Participate in training sessions, professional development workshops, and team meetings as required.
Provide instructional assistance under the supervision of classroom Teacher
Assist in the preparation and delivery of instructional plans
Provide individual and small group instruction
Support student assessment
Regular and predictable attendance
Cognitive Demands:
Supervise multiple students at once
Provide instructional assistance to students in an individual or small group setting
Ability to maintain a safe and orderly environment for students
Participate in continuous professional development
Effective oral and written communication skills
Physical Demands:
Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Stand and walk frequently
Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year
Assist/lift students if necessary
Withstand a moderate noise level
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
