Cole Academy is Lansing's longest-standing charter school in the state of Michigan and received a charter through Central Michigan University in 1995. Job Description:

This position is the food service lead at our Lansing campus reporting to the Food Service Director and school Principal. This person is responsible for the preparation, service, ordering and stocking of food for the breakfast, lunch & snack programs.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Complete a minimum of 10 hours food service training.
2. Maintains proper use of food service equipment (ovens, warmers, coolers, etc.)
3. Complies with all food safety regulations (hand washing, sanitizing, food prep & storage, temperatures, weights/measures, etc.)
4. Prepares all hot & cold foods for service during school lunch.
5. Maintains daily lunch, breakfast, and snack production sheets.
6. Order food and milk on the assigned schedule.
7. Other duties as related to food service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• GED or high school diploma
• Reliable transportation

• Ability to work as a team

ADDITIONAL NOTES

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
