Old Redford Academy is hiring an Instructional Coach for the high school. Must have a Michigan Teacher Certification. Position is immediate!

We are looking to hire an Instructional Coach to work with teachers to improve the quality of their lessons and the quality of students' education.

We are looking for dedicated teachers that will allow all students to contribute to classroom learning by sharing and gaining knowledge from each other.  The Old Redford Academy’s philosophy is based on early work of Dr. Maria Montessori Method of Teaching which has a focus on educating “the whole child”. Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to teachers, administrators, and staff in the development and implementation of teaching strategies, curriculum, and assessment
• Evaluate instructional materials and provide recommendations for improvement
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans
• Provide mentoring and coaching to teachers and staff
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field.

• Michigan Teaching Certification. 

• Knowledge of best practices in instruction, curriculum development, and assessment

• Able to analyze data and use it to improve instruction

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
